I used this brush for the brightwork (especially toe rail) on my Herreshoff and it worked beautifully -- I was able to control the flow and application of the varnish easily so I could do sizable sections (the brush holds a good deal of varnish) without having any excess flow. Some people have commented that their brush lost fibers/hairs but I did not have that experience. The brush looks like it is going to hold up well.
