Additional Details and Specifications
The variable speed feature includes 6 speed settings, ranging from 6,000 to 18,000 rpm. Different RPM speeds let you tailor motor output to the application. For instance, Arbortech recommends Settings 5 and 6 for high performance wood carving and sculpting. Settings 3 and 4 are best for aggressive sanding, such as evening out rough surfaces. And, settings 1 and 2 are preferred for smooth finish sanding that won't burn the wood.The included rubber backing pad sits behind the sanding disc, supporting it, to add durability and flexibility when sanding. The Dust Extraction attachment lets you connect the Mini Carver to a shop vac / dust extractor hose, for a cleaner, safer work environment — and better sanding performance.
